Facebook has over 800 million users. Facebook has become one of the easiest, cheapest and fastest ways to reach your publics.

Twitter is exploding among the social media world. From February 2011 to March 2011 Twitter went from 140 million Tweets per day to 170 million tweets per day. The current TPS record is 6,939 tweets per second set 4 seconds after midnight in Japan on New Year’s Day. Twitter is an easy way to get simple statements out and also an easy was to link to your website. A interesting Tweet with a link your site will most likely get clicked on. When Tweeting keep it short, sweet and interesting.

YouTube is an amazing part of social media that can make or break you in a matter of minutes. Videos go viral faster than most have time to respond. Monthly people spend 2.9 million hours on YouTube. This is a social media outlet that I recommend keeping and eye on and use regularly.

A prime example of a video going viral was when United Airlines employees were seen throwing a musician’s guitar and he decided to make a video about it. This video went viral and had now currently has around 11 million views.
